Description
Animated Diagrams is an AI-native diagram studio that turns plain-English prompts into editable, animated technical diagrams. You describe what happens in order, and it lays out boxes, diamonds, and arrows as real diagram elements, handling the layout, colors, and connections for you.
Everything is drawn on the same editable canvas rather than as a flattened image, so you can click any shape to drag, recolor, or rewire it as if you drew it yourself. Diagrams can be animated, replaying the flow with motion along the arrows or building the whole diagram piece by piece, which makes it well suited to product explainers and walkthroughs.
It supports architecture diagrams, flowcharts, sequence diagrams, and decision trees, and includes a Mermaid converter that turns Mermaid code into an editable Excalidraw-style canvas, plus a Google Sheets to diagram tool. You can bring your own AI provider, choosing among OpenAI, Claude, OpenRouter, Gemini, or a local model while keeping the same workflow.
Animated Diagrams offers a free plan with monthly AI diagrams, unlimited manual editing, and export to PNG or animated GIF, and it can export a crisp PNG for docs, an editable source file for teammates, or a GIF for a pull request. An MCP server and CLI are in development.
