Description
Trellis3D (trellis3d.net) is a web platform for running Microsoft Research's Trellis 3D generative models, including the Trellis.2 4-billion-parameter model, to convert 2D images into 3D assets. It manages the infrastructure and server stack so anyone can use the models through a browser without high-end hardware or setup.
Trellis.2 is built around an O-Voxel representation that handles arbitrary topology, including open surfaces, thin geometry, and complex internal structures, and produces complete PBR material sets with base color, roughness, metallic, and alpha channels in one end-to-end process. Generation is fast, taking seconds for smaller models and around a minute for high-detail assets, and output is a standard GLB file that works directly in Blender, Unity, Unreal Engine, and web viewers. The underlying model is released by Microsoft under a permissive MIT license and is free for personal, academic, and commercial use.
The platform primarily supports image-to-3D generation; for text-to-3D workflows, users generate an image first and feed it into the generator. Trellis3D offers free access along with credit-based subscription plans that add monthly credit recharges, higher queue priority, and private, customer-owned creations.
